History Export Sentinel is free, open-source software provided under the MIT License. These terms summarize responsible use; the repository license remains the controlling software license.

Use your own data

Use Sentinel only with browser profiles and history you are authorized to access. You are responsible for complying with device, workplace, and local privacy rules.

Protect exported history

Exports can reveal sensitive interests, locations, routines, and account activity. You control the output location, backups, sharing, retention, and deletion. Sentinel does not encrypt exports or upload them for you.

No warranty

The software is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. Verification shows that exported artifacts still match the report Sentinel created; it does not prove that a browser itself retained every historical visit or that another program did not alter the source before export.

Availability and changes

The static documentation and open-source project may change or be discontinued. Versioned behavior and notable changes are recorded in the project changelog.
